The Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday that they’ve signed DE Johnny Maxey to their practice squad and released TE Jerome Cunningham from the unit.
The Titans’ practice squad now consists of:
- NT Antwaun Woods
- RB Khalfani Muhammad
- S Denzel Johnson
- TE Tim Semisch
- OL Cody Wichmann
- WR Zach Pascal
- DE Julius Warmsley
- G Tyler Marz
- WR Darius Jennings
- DE Johnny Maxey
Maxey, 24, wound up signing on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Mars Hill back in May of last year. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to Pittsburgh’s practice squad before being eventually called up in late December.
The Steelers once again cut Maxey loose coming out of the preseason this past September.
In 2016, Maxey appeared in two games for the Steelers and recorded one tackle.
