According to Paul Kuharsky, the Titans plan to activate OLB Vic Beasley from the non-football injury list and start him on the active roster to begin the season.
Beasley has been on the list while he works to pass a physical after not reporting to Titans camp for 10 days.
However, this is a strong sign he’s on his way to getting back on the field.
It’s worth mentioning that this could impact how strongly Tennessee is willing to pursue free-agent DE Jadeveon Clowney. Without Beasley, the Titans would have a much bigger need at the position.
Beasley, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Falcons back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year, $14.5 million contract but the Falcons picked up his fifth-year option worth $14,200,000 for the 2019 season.
The Titans signed Beasley to a one-year contract worth up to $12 million this offseason.
In 2019, Beasley appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and recorded 42 total tackles, 8 sacks, two forced fumbles and two pass defenses.
