The Tennessee Titans announced that they have waived LB Josh Smith on Saturday, according to Jim Wyatt.
Tennessee placed Smith on their reserve/COVID-19 two weeks ago and they activated him earlier today, meaning he is healthy and eligible to sign with another organization.
Smith, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Vanderbilt back in April of last year. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Titans.
However, he was waived coming out of the preseason and eventually re-signed to their practice squad late in the season. Tennessee brought Smith back on a futures contract this past January.
During his college career at Vanderbilt, Smith recorded 92 tackles, six sacks, a forced fumble and four passes defended over the course of four seasons and 30 games.
