The Tennessee Titans officially waived DE Johnny Maxey and LB Gimel President with an injury designation on Friday.
This clears a roster spot for S Steven Terrell, who was signed to a contract earlier in the day.
Maxey, 24, wound up signing on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Mars Hill back in 2016. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed on to Pittsburgh’s practice squad before being eventually called up in late December.
The Steelers once again cut Maxey loose coming out of the preseason last year and he later caught on with the Titans.
In 2016, Maxey appeared in two games for the Steelers and recorded one tackle.
