Browns head coach Pat Shurmur says he wants to increase rookie running back Trent Richardson‘s workload as the season goes on, per Nate Ulrich.
#Browns HC Pat Shurmur: “It would make sense to keep Trent (Richardson) on the field the whole game & at some point, he’ll be able to.”

Due to Richardson missing all of the preseason as he recovered from knee surgery, the Browns were forced give Richardson a limited workload and increase it as the season went on. Chris Ogbonnaya opened the season as the Browns change of pace back as he was typically used in passing situations. However, in the past three games, Richardson has 15 reception so we’re beginning to see him grow into an every down back.
