Trent Williams Hoping To Get An Extension Worked Out With Redskins

The Washington Redskins and LTย Trent Williams have yet to have any seriousย contract talks regarding a long-term extension, according to Mike Jones of the Washington Post.

However,ย said Williams said he’sย still hoping to get anย extension worked out withย Washington at some point.

Williams also confirmedย that he has parted ways with his agent, Benย Dogra, but has retainedย Vincent Taylor of MS World LLC.

It’s worth mentioning that Redskins HC Jay Gruden has said that he would to extend Williams’ contract, so there appears to be mutual interest in getting something worked out before next March.

Williams, 26, is in the final year of hisย six-year, $60 million contractย that includedย $36.75 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary of $10.25 million for the 2015 season to go along with a cap figure ofย $13.7 million.

In 2014, Williams appeared in 15 games and was rated by Pro Football Focusย as the No. 18ย offensive tackle out of 84 qualifying players.
