Veteran CB Cortland Finnegan Looking To Return To NFL, Hires Drew Rosenhaus

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that veteran CB Cortland Finnegan has changed his mind about retirement and is now looking to return to the NFL.

According to Rapoport, Finnegan has already hired Drew Rosenhaus as his agent to help him find another team.

There are a number of teams that could use some help at cornerback such as the Cowboys, so we’ll have to see what kind of market develops for him in the coming weeks.

Finnegan, 31, is a former seventh round pick of the Titans back in 2006. He spent the first four years of his career with Tennessee before joining the Rams in 2012.

St. Louis cut him after two years and he later caught on with the Dolphins in March of last year. Miami ultimately cut Finnegan loose in a move that freed up $5.475 million in available cap space before the start of free agency.

Last year, he recorded 44 tackles, one forced fumble, a recovery, nine pass defenses and scored a defensive touchdown over the course of 12 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 74 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.
