Field Yates of ESPN reports that veteran OTย J’Marcus Webb has been suspended for the first four games of the 2017 season for an undisclosed violation.
Webb, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bears back in 2010. He spent three years in Chicago before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Vikings at the start of the 2013 season.
Webb briefly joined the Chiefs before returning to the Vikings and eventually signing a one-year deal with the Raiders last April. The Seahawks elected to sign Webb to aย two-year, $6 contract that included $2.45 million guaranteed as an unrestricted free agent this past March.
However, Seattle cut Webb loose in November and never caught on with another team during the season.
In 2016, Webb was active for nine gamesย and rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 74 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players at the time of his release.
