Former Raiders and Texans P Shane Lechler is officially retiring from the NFL, per Pat McAfee.
Lechler, 42, is a former fifth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2000. He spent 13 years in Oakland before catching on with the Texans for the 2013 season.
Lechler played six seasons in Houston before he was released during the preseason last year and wound up sitting out the 2018 season.
For his career, Lechler totaled 68,676 yards on 1,444 attempts (47.6 YPA). He was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and made six first-team All-Pro squads.
