The New York Giants announced that WR Victor Cruz underwent an arthroscopic debridement of his knee on Thursday.
Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports mentions that this is “not usually a major deal,” but adds that he is out for the season.
Cruz had already been ruled out for Week 16 before this announcement was made. Given that the Giants are out of the playoffs, it makes plenty of sense to address this issue now instead of waiting until after the season.
Cruz should be back at full strength next year.
