According to Chris Tomasson, the Vikings have activated CB Holton Hill from suspension and waived LB Cameron Smith to make room for him.
Hill recently served an eight-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse and performance-enhancing drug policies in two separate incidences.
Hill, 22, wound up signing on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May of 2018. He’s currently in the second year of his three-year, $1.725 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $570,000 for the 2019 season.
In 2018, Hill appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and recorded 35 tackles, one interception and seven pass defenses.
