Washington Rookie DE Chase Young Out With Groin Injury

Washington first-round DE Chase Young suffered a groin injury during Sunday’s game against the Browns and has since been ruled out for the game.

It’s concerning how quickly Washington ruled Young out after suffering the injury.

Young, 21, was a two-year starter at Ohio State and was a first-team All-American last season. Washington used the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft on him.

Young signed a four-year, $34,563,594 rookie contract that included a $22,697,160 signing bonus. The contract includes a fifth-year for Washington to pick up for the 2024 season.

Entering today’s game, Young had appeared in two games for Washington and recorded eight tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

We’ll have more regarding Young as the news is available.
