Last week, the Jets gave LB Bart Scott permission to seek a trade and the Giants were mentioned as early possibility.
Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times reports that Scott would like to return to his former team, the Baltimore Ravens.
The real obstacle here is that Scott’s ability has diminished to the point that he was only used on early downs and in running situations for the Jets last season. He also has $4.2 million salary for the 2012 season so he’ll have to address that if he’s going to seek a trade to one of the two teams that have been previously mentioned.
The Ravens could be an option if he’s released but it’s hard to assume that anyone is going to be interested in parting with some value in return for a declining linebacker.
