Broncos Considering Chad Henne As Tebow’s Backup?

Mike Klis of the Denver Post takes a look at some of the quarterback options that the Broncos may consider during free agency.

The team has said that they plan to add another quarterback to backup Tim Tebow next season and John Elway has said that he’s looking for a pocket passer.

Klis lists: Vince Young, Chad HenneShaun Hill, Josh Johnson, Chris Redman, David Carr and Kevin O’Connell as options that Elway may consider adding.

Of the listed players, Henne seems like he could be one of the options that they give strong consideration to. The rest of the players are a pretty lackluster group. If the Broncos can’t bring in a quality backup during the free agency, you can expect to see them actively pursue a quarterback during the draft. We have the Broncos taking Ryan Tannehill out of Texas A&M.
