Browns Worked Out TE Khari Lee

According to Howard Balzer, the Cleveland Browns worked out free-agent TE Khari Lee on Wednesday.

Lee, 26, wound up signing on the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Bowie State back in 2015. He was later traded to the Bears in return for a 2017 seventh-round pick. However, the Bears elected to place Lee on waivers and he was later claimed by the Lions.

Lee was in the second year of his three-year, $1.577 million rookie contract when he was waived by Detroit and signed to the practice squad. He re-signed to a one-year futures deal but was waived after the preseason.

He was quickly claimed by the Bills and finished out the 2017 season in Buffalo. The Bills elected to waive him last week.

In 2018, Lee has appeared in two games and recorded one reception for five yards receiving.
