The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Wednesday that they’ve signed FB Austin Johnson to their practice squad.
The Buccaneers’ practice squad now consists of:
- S Isaiah Johnson
- DT Channing Ward
- TE Tevin Westbrook
- G Kyler Kerbyson
- G Michael Liedtke
- DB Cody Riggs
- WR Myles White
- DT Rodney Coe
- WR Bernard Reedy
- FB Austin Johnson
Johnson, 27, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee back in 2012. He later signed a future/reserve contract with the Saints in January of 2013, and has been on and off of their practice squad.
New Orleans cut him loose back in September and this is his first opportunity since then.
In 2015, Johnson appeared in 10 games and ran for nine yards on four carries (2.3 YPC) to go along with five receptions for 30 yards receiving and one total touchdown.
