Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears have made very little progress towards a long-term extension for DT Henry Melton. Chicago placed their franchise tag on Melton back in February. Melton has since signed his franchise tender and is set to make $8.5 million for the 2013 season.
