The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that they’ve signed WR Justice Liggins and waived RB Dalton Crossan with an injury designation.
Should Crossan pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Wednesday.
Crossan, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of New Hampshire back in May. He stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract.
During last week’s preseason opener, Crossan saw three carries for three yards rushing and caught two passes for 11 yards.
While at New Hampshire, Crossan totaled for 2,617 rushing yards, 779 receiving yards and 1,793 kickoff return yards to go along with 36 total touchdowns.
