Dolphins veteran DT C.J. Mosley was placed on season-ending injured reserve Wednesday after clearing waivers, according to the NFL transactions release.
Miami waived Mosley with the injury designation on Tuesday to make room for DT Robert Thomas, who is being signed off the Patriots’ practice squad.
Mosley, 32, signed a one-year, $1.05 million contract that included an $80,000 signing bonus with the Dolphins back in June. He was set to make a base salary of $970,000 for the 2015 season.
This season, Mosley has appeared in 11 games and recorded seven tackles and no sacks for Miami.
