Eagles Are Likely To Start Michael Vick In Week 17

Eagles head coach Andy Reid told reporters that rookie QB Nick Foles suffered a broken hand during Sundayโ€™s loss to the Washington Redskins, per Jeff McLane.

ESPNโ€™s Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles will most likely give Michael Vick another start in Week 17 when they take on the New York Giants.

โ€œHe obviously deserves (an) opportunity to play,โ€ said Reid on Monday, per Geoff Mosher. โ€œHeโ€™s excited about it. โ€ฆ And ready to go.โ€

This figures to be both Vick and Reidโ€™s final game with Eagles, but Vick really has a lot to play for in this game. He figures to draw interest from one of the quarterback-needy teams, so a strong performance could at least increase his value to some degree. Matt Flynn secured a $19.5 million contract based on a single strong outing, so itโ€™s fair to assume that Vick could surpass that figure.
