Eagles Focused On Finding A Defensive Coordinator With NFL Experience

Albert Breer of NFL.com reports that the Philadelphia Eagles are focused on NFL coaches to fill their defensive coordinator vacancy.

Breer adds that they could still look to the college ranks for their next defensive coordinator at some point, but for the time being their plan is to look at the available options in the NFL.

Tom Rock reports that Giants LBs coach Jim Herrmann has removed himself from consideration for the job.

Herrmann and Georgia DC Todd Grantham have been linked to the job and previous reports suggested that Grantham could be their guy.

Chip Kelly is reportedly looking for someone with experience given that some of the coaches that are following him to Philadelphia are lacking in that department.
