The Philadelphia Eagles announced Thursday that they’re promoting CB C.J. Smith to their active roster and signing TE Anthony Denham to their practice squad.

The Eagles’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. RB Byron Marshall
  2. DT Aziz Shittu

  4. WR Paul Turner
  5. C Aaron Neary
  6. TE Anthony Denham
  7. QB Aaron Murray
  8. G Matt Rotherman

Smith, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract as an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State back in May. He was unfortunately cut loose coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad.

During his college career, Smith recorded 139 tackles, a forced fumble, 57 pass defenses, one sack, and eight interceptions.
