Eagles Sign WR Marcus Johnson To Practice Squad, Cut TE Anthony Denham

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Friday that they’ve signed WR Marcus Johnson to their practice squad and released TE Anthony Denham from the unit.

The Eagles’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. RB Byron Marshall
  2. DT Aziz Shittu
  3. WR David Watford
  4. C Aaron Neary
  5. QB Aaron Murray
  6. WR Marcus Johnson
  7. LB Don Cherry
  8. G Darrell Greene
  9. TE Marcel Jensen
  10. DB Aaron Grymes

Johnson, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad for a brief period of time.

During his college career at Texas, Johnson caught 61 passes for 793 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
