Falcons Place G Brandon Fusco On IR, Sign OL Rees Odhiambo Off Colts’ PS

The Atlanta Falcons announced Wednesday that they’ve placed G Brandon Fusco on injured reserve and signed OL Rees Odhiambo from the Colts’ practice squad.

Fusco, 30, is a former sixth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2011. He was entering the fourth year of his six-year, $26 million contract that included $6 million guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $3.87 million for the 2017 season when the Vikings released him last year.

After one year with the 49ers, Fusco signed a three-year deal with the Falcons is worth $12.75 million this past March.

In 2018, Fusco appeared in seven games for the Falcons.

Odhiambo, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2016. He was in the third year of his four-year, $3.362 million contract and set to make a base salary of $644,000 when the Seahawks elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

The Colts signed him to their practice squad back in September after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

In 2017, Odhiambo appeared in seven games for the Seahawks.
