The New York Jets officially waived DT Brandin Bryant from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Wednesday.
Bryant, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Florida Atlantic back in May of last year. However, he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
The Jets signed him to their practice squad during the season before recently waiving him with an injury designation. After clearing waivers, Bryant reverted to the Jets’ practice squad.
During his college career at FAU, Bryant recorded 121 tackles, 25 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks, two pass defenses and a forced fumble over the course of four seasons.
