Jets Waive RB Akeem Judd

The New York Jets announced Friday that they’ve placed RB Akeem Judd on waivers.

Judd, 25, originally signed a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss back in May of last year. He was waived with an injury designation at the start of the regular season and eventually cut loose with a settlement a month later.

The Jets signed Judd to their practice squad in October before calling him up towards the end of the season.

During his college career at Ole Miss, Judd rushed for 1,251 yards on 242 carries (5.2 YPC) to go along with 24 receptions for 160 yards receiving and 10 total touchdowns over the course of two seasons and 24 games played.
