NFC West Notes: 49ers, Rams, Seahawks

49ers

  • Field Yates reports that the 49ers recently increased CB Emmanuel Moseley’s salary after a team tried to sign him off of their practice squad.
  • 49ers signed RB Matthew Dayes, OL Najee Toran and DB Tyvis Powell to their practice squad. (NFLTR)
  • 49ers and released DB Dexter McCoil and WR Frank Stephens from their practice squad.

Rams

Rams WRs Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp both suffered concussions during Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.

However, Rams HC Sean McVay said they’re hopeful both will be available in Week 6.

“They’ll be in the protocol,” McVay said, via Pro Football Talk. “They felt good today. They didn’t have any symptoms or anything like that. We’ll go through the standard operating procedure. If everything checks out with our guys and with the doctors that are part of that process, then we’re hopeful to get these guys this week, get them back for this game this week.

Seahawks

  • Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said of rookie RB Rashaad Penny: “He’s looking for his opportunities. He’s dying to get in there. … It’s a long season, there’s a lot of carries, there’s a lot of running to be done.” (Curtis Crabtree)
  • Carroll mentioned that Rasheem Green is “still a couple weeks away.” and LB K.J. Wright will not play this week. (Bob Condotta)
