NFL Notes: Greg Hardy, Bills, Cardinals, & Vikings

Greg Hardy

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, reports that Cowboys DE Greg Hardy has yet to make a decision about pursing a potential lawsuit against the NFL.

Florio mentions that Hardy really has four options to consider:

  1. Do nothing.
  2. Sue the league and seek a preliminary injunction that would allow him to play after serving a two-game suspension, until the case is resolved.
  3. Sue the league and don’t seek an injunction, while serving the full suspension.
  4. Sue the league and seek the preliminary injunction, and then try to settle the case.

Bills

Cardinals

  • Cardinals HC Bruce Arians expressed frustration with the team’s current group of running backs on Monday and said that he plans to speak to GM Steve Keim about their options. (Josh Weinfuss)
  • However, Arians specifically said that they won’t consider signing former Ravens RB Ray Rice. (Josh Weinfuss)

Vikings

  • According to Jason Cole of the Bleacher Report, the Vikings are “desperately” hoping former first-round WR Cordarrelle Patterson to a earn a starting role.
  • Patterson has reportedly improved his work habits, but he still hasn’t been a consistent performer in training camp.
  • Minnesota is still hoping they cap tap into his big-play ability at some point.
