NFL Notes: La’el Collins, Bears, Cowboys, & Panthers

La’el Collins

  • According to Dan Pompei of Bleacher Report, Cowboys OL La’el Collins intially had interest from 16 NFL teams.
  • However, Collins cut his list down to six finalists including: Buccaneers, Chargers, Dolphins, Falcons, Giants, and Cowboys.
  • Bob Condotta reports that Collins wasn’t interested in playing for the Seahawks.

Bears

Bears veteran RB Matt Forte explained that he’s not surprised that some fans are already talking about rookie Jeremy Langford taking over as the starting running back in 2016.

“The fans are the fans,” Forte said Thursday, via the Chicago Sun-Times. “The NFL is ‘What have you done for me lately?’ I’ve been out a few games and Jeremy has done well stepping in for me. So everybody is always looking for the next best thing. With (me) being in my contract year, it’s obvious that that’s the storyline that will come up.

“Chicago is kind of like that: ‘Well, see ya later, Matt.’ I’m like, ‘Man, I’ve been here going on eight years — y’all just going to throw me to the side like that?’ But that’s the nature of the NFL. And I don’t mind. I will play wherever I end up after that.

Cowboys

Cowboys VP Stephen Jones mentioned that he doesn’t believe DE Greg Hardy is a “problem.”

Internally I don’t think Greg Hardy is a problem,” Jones said, via Sirius XM NFL Radio. “He’s not perfect, there’s things he has to work on.”

The NFL released photos of the Cowboys’ “Color Rush” uniforms for next week.

Panthers

The Panthers’ “Color Rush” uniform for Week 12’s game was released Thursday night.
