Saints WR Willie Snead Suspended Three Games

Field Yates of ESPN is reporting that Saints WR Willie Snead has been suspended for the first three games of the regular season.

Snead, 24, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in Cleveland before signing on to the Panthers’ practice squad during his rookie season. Snead eventually joined the Saints towards the end of the year and returned to the team on a future/reserve contract.

The Saints and Snead were reportedly been negotiating a long-term extension before he signed his exclusive free agent tender this past July.

In 2016, Snead appeared in 15 games and caught 72 passes for 895 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
