Vikings Sticking With Christian Ponder

Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier told reporters that he hasn’t considered making a change at quarterback, despite Christian Ponder‘s struggles this season.

We do have confidence that Christian will continue to get better,” Frazier said, per Tom Pelissero. “It hasn’t come up at any point this season where I thought we need to pull him out of a game.

Ponder’s currently rated as the second worst qualifying quarterback this season, according to Pro Football Focus. Minnesota apparently isn’t confident about playing Joe Webb, so it seems likely that Ponder will finish out the 2012 season, assuming that he doesn’t have a complete meltdown at some point in time.
