The San Diego Chargers announced a series of roster moves on Saturday including placingย DTย Corey Liuget and CB Brandon Flowers on season-ending injured reserve.
- The Chargers promoted QB Brad Sorensen to their active roster.
- The Chargers activated DE Darius Philon from injured reserve.
Flowers, 29, signed a four-year, $36.4 million contractย that includesย $20.5 million guaranteed with the Chargers back in March. He’ll make a base salary of $2.25 million this season and another $7.75 million in 2016.
Flowersย totaled 33 tackles, one sack, four pass defenses and no interceptions for the Chargers over the course of 11 games.
Liuget, 25, is in the first year of his six-year, $58.219 million contractย that includesย $30.477 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary ofย $1 million and anotherย $3 million in 2016.
His 2015 season comes to an end with him appearing in 11 games and recording 34 tackles and three sacks for the Chargers.
