It’s clear that vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaumย is calling the shots now in Miami.

Jeff Darlington of NFL Media reports that there’s aย battle for power within the Dolphins’ organization that hasย to divisions within the franchise, whichย has resulted in different factions developing.

It’s worth mentioning that Grier is said to be close toย Tannenbaum, which explains why some of the top reporters have connected him to the job.

According to Darlington, Tannenbaum is willing to hire a GM to oversee the scouting department, but he’s also willing to give up authority over roster decisions for the right candidate.
