NFL Notes: Bears, Rams, Seahawks, & Steelers

Bears

• Dan Pompei mentions that former Titans HC Ken Whisenhunt is a “name to keep an eye on” for the Bears’ offensive coordinator position opening if Adam Gase leaves.
• Peompei doesn’t see impending free agent WR Alshon Jeffery going anywhere.
• Pompei expects the Bears to part ways with veteran TE Martellus Bennett at some point during the offseason.

Rams

• Rams HC Jeff Fisher indicated that QB Case Keenum will enter the offseason as their starter ahead Nick Foles. (Around The League)

Seahawks

• Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Monday that he is hopeful RB Marshawn Lynch (abdomen) will play in their playoff game against the Vikings. (Liz Mathews)

Steelers

• ESPN’s Britt McHenry reports that Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams is day to day following an MRI that showed no fractures or major structural damage to his ankle.
• Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette  reports Williams has an “outside chance, albeit a small one” to play in Saturday’s game against the Bengals.
