NFL Notes: DeMarco Murray, Jared Goff, Patriots, & Saints

DeMarco Murray

Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com. writes that Eagles RB DeMarco Murray likely isn’t going anywhere, despite the report that he and team could be headed for a “stare-down” this offseason.

A source tells Kempski that the Eagles would cut Murray if they could. However, it would be a costly move that would result in them paying an additional $5 million.

Jared Goff

• California QB Jared Goff tells Pro Football Talk Live that he will fully participate in this year’s Scouting Combine.
• Goff added that he has nothing to hide and looks forward to participating in the workouts.

Patriots

• Jeff Howe reports that Patriots DL Dominique Easley‘s slightly torn quad did not require surgery and he’s expected to be fine for offseason workouts.
• Howe also reports that TE Rob Gronkowksi didn’t require surgery on his knee or back.

Saints

• Saints QB Drew Brees said of a potential contract extension: “If conversations are to be had, they haven’t happened yet.” ( Christopher Dabe)
