The San Francisco 49ers announced Tuesday that FB Kyle Juszczyk will miss the next 4-6 weeks with an MCL injury he suffered during Monday’s win over the Browns.
Reports from last night mentioned that Juszczyk did not have an ACL, but it was likely his knee injury would cost him some time. Thankfully for the 49ers, he will be able to return in a month or so.
NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reports Juscyzk is seeking a second opinion and the hope is he can beat the expected timeline.
Juszczyk, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $2,460,584 contract with the Ravens before signing a four-year, $21 million contract that included $10.5 million guaranteed with the 49ers in 2017.
Juszczyk stands to make base salaries of $4.2 million and $5.05 million over the next two years.
In 2019, Juszczyk has appeared in four games for the 49ers and rushed for six yards on one carry and caught six passes for 76 yards receiving.
