49ers G Joshua Garnett Likely To Miss Multiple Games Following Knee Scope

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that 49ers G Joshua Garnett is facing a six-week recovery after he recently underwent a knee scope. According to Salguero, Garnett will likely to miss “multiple” games while he recovers from this procedure.

Earlier this week, Pelissero reported that Garnett was experiencing pain and swelling in his knee, but added that the 49ers were optimistic that Garnett’s injury is not serious.

Garnett, 23, is a former first-round pick by the 49ers in the 2016 NFL Draft. He is entering the second-year of a four year $9.304 million rookie contract and is set to make a base salary of $872,923 this season to go along with another $1.29 in 2018.

In 2016, Garnett appeared in 15 games for the 49ers and ProFootballFocus rated him as the No. 68 overall guard out of 75 qualifying players.
