49ers Getting Offers For QB C.J. Beathard In Sixth-Round Range

Matt Maiocco of NBC Bay Area reports that the 49ers have been getting offers in the sixth-round range for backup QB C.J. Beathard. However, Maiocco’s source says San Francisco is not inclined to do that deal.

As of now, Beathard is the 49ers’ No. 3 quarterback behind Jimmy Garoppolo and Nick Mullens, but it appears as though they plan to maintain their quarterback depth, unless someone steps up and offers them a better pick.

Beathard, 25, is a former third-round pick of the 49ers back in 2017. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $3.528 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $785,786 and $946,179 over the next two years of the agreement.

For his career, Beathard has completed 57.3 percent of his passes for 2,682 yards, 12 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He has also rushed for 205 yards and four touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding the 49ers as the news is available.
