The San Francisco 49ers announced they have signed S Tayler Hawkins to the practice squad and released S Tre Norwood in a corresponding move.
San Francisco’s practice squad now includes:

- CB Kendall Sheffield
- G Ilm Manning
- RB Jeremy McNichols
- S Tayler Hawkins
Hawkins, 25, signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State following the 2022 NFL Draft. He was waived coming out of the preseason and re-signed to the practice squad.
The 49ers brought Hawkins back on a futures contract for the 2023 season but cut him with an injury designation in August.
During his six-year college career, Hawkins recorded 170 total tackles, five tackles for loss, one forced fumble, three interceptions and 22 pass deflections in 57 career games.
