The 49ers announced they have released TE Daniel Helm from the practice squad.
San Francisco first activated Helm from the COVID-19 list.

Helm, 25, signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Duke in 2019. He was waived in August and claimed by the 49ers.
San Francisco waived Helm again coming out of the preseason. He was signed to the practice squad and called up to the active roster late in the season. The 49ers waived him this August and he was claimed by the Chiefs before being waived again coming out of camp.
Helm signed to the Buccaneers practice squad before being signed back by the 49ers. He’s been on and off the practice squad this year.
During his three years at Duke, Helm caught 69 passes for 767 yards and six touchdowns in 34 career games.
