Campbell, 23, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2018. He agreed to a four-year, $2.6 million contract with Arizona, but was waived coming out of the preseason.
The Saints signed Campbell to their practice squad and brought him back on a futures contract this past January. New Orleans waived Campbell with an injury designation last month and he reverted to their injured reserve list.
The Saints cut him from injured reserve last week, making him an unrestricted free agent.
During his college career at Penn State, Campbell recorded 102 tackles, one sack, four interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery and 19 pass defenses over the course of 37 games.
