San Francisco also added CB Christian Angulo to the practice squad and placed CB Tim Harris on the practice squad injured list.
This is in addition to San Francisco’s other cornerback-centric moves from today.
Webster, 24, was drafted by the Patriots in the seventh round out of Ole Miss in 2019. He signed a four-year, $2.6 million rookie deal but was waived by New England coming out of the preseason.
The Dolphins claimed Webster off waivers from the Patriots. Miami waived Webster coming out of camp this year but re-signed him to the practice squad.
In 2019, Webster appeared in eight games for the Dolphins and recorded 19 total tackles, no sacks or interceptions and one pass defense.
