The San Francisco 49ers announced Monday that they’ve signed DL Anthony Zettel to a contract and waived DL Jeremiah Valoaga.
Zettel, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Lions back in 2016. He was entering the third year of his four-year, $2.463 million rookie contract when Detroit cut him loose at the start of the 2018 season.
The Browns quickly claimed him off waivers where he finished out the year. He was among Cleveland’s final roster cuts this preseason and he’s been on and off of the Bengals’ roster this season.
In 2019, Zettel appeared in four games for the Bengals and recorded five total tackles.
We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
