The San Francisco 49ers announced Wednesday that they’ve signed DL Cameron Malveaux to a one-year deal.
Malveaux, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Houston back in 2018. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.
The Dolphins eventually promoted Malveaux to their active roster but he was once again among the team’s final roster cuts. He had brief stints with the Cardinals and Chiefs before joining Washington last season.
Malveaux returned to Washington on a futures contract after the season but was waived a few weeks ago.
In 2018, Malveaux appeared in nine games for the Dolphins and Cardinals and recorded 10 tackles and a sack.
