49ers Sign First-Round DL DeForest Buckner To A Four-Year Deal

The San Francisco 49ersย have agreed to terms with first-round DL DeForest Buckner,ย according to Rand Getlin.

Buckner, 22, was taken with the No. 7ย overall pickย by the 49ers. On the day of the draft, reports indicated that Buckner could be the Chargers’ pick at No. 3 overall. Other assumed that the Ravens wouldn’t pass on him at No. 6 overall, but sure enough, he fell into the 49ers’ laps at No. 7 overall.

According toย OverTheCap.com, Buckner receives aย four-year contract worth $18,190,990ย to go along with a signing bonus of $11,429,812. The contract will include a fifth-year option for the team to consider in 2019.

During his four-year career at Oregon, Buckner recorded 232 tackles, 36 tackles for a loss, 18 sacks, two forced fumbles, two recoveries, and 10 pass defenses.
