The San Francisco 49ers announced Friday that they’ve officially signed first-round WR Brandon Aiyuk to his rookie contract.
The 49ers have now signed all but one 2020 draft pick:
Round | Player | Pos. | Status |
1 | Javon Kinlaw | DT | Signed |
1 | Brandon Aiyuk | WR | Signed |
5 | Colton McKivitz | OT | Signed |
6 | Charlie Woerner | TE | |
7 | Jauan Jennings | WR | Signed |
Aiyuk, 22, was a one-year starter at Arizona State and earned first-team All-Pac 12 honors last season. The 49ers traded up with the Vikings to select him with the No. 25 overall pick in this year’s draft.
Last month, Aiyuk had core muscle surgery to fix an issue that had been lingering for the past few months. He had to withdraw from the Senior Bowl but was able to participate in some drills at the NFL Scouting Combine, including running a 4.50 40-yard dash time. (NFLTR)
Aiyuk is projected to sign a four-year, $12,531,342 rookie contract that includes a $6,673,703 signing bonus. The contract includes a fifth-year for the 49ers to pick up for the 2024 season.
During his two-year college career, Aiyuk caught 98 passes for 1,666 yards and 11 touchdowns in 25 games.
