The San Francisco 49ers announced Monday that they’ve officially signed former Buccaneers fifth-round pick RB Jeremy McNichols to their practice squad.
The 49ers practice squad now consists of:
- WR DeAndre Carter
- OL John Flynn
- TE Cole Hikutini
- CB Asa Jackson
- QB Nick Mullens
- DL Noble Nwachukwu
- WR DeAndre Smelter
- OL Darrell Williams Jr.
- RB Jeremy McNichols
McNichols, 21, was selected with the No. 162 overall pick by the Buccaneers in this year’s NFL draft. He signed a four-year contract worth $2,663,788 with Tampa Bay but was, unfortunately, cut loose this past weekend and wasn’t claimed off of waivers.
During his college career at Boise State, McNichols rushed for 3,205 yards on 571 carries (5.6 YPC) to go along with 103 receptions for 1,089 yards receiving and 55 total touchdowns over the course of three seasons and 34 games.
