The San Francisco 49ers announced that have signed seventh-round pick FB Trey Millard to a four-year deal.
Millard was used in a variety of ways during his time at Oklahoma. ย That versatility made him the consensus No. 1 fullback in the 2014 NFL Draft class.
While the fullback position is devalued by many teams, San Francisco has effectively used theirs, most recently Bruce Miller. ย Millard has the ability to push Miller, but will likely begin by battling FB Will Tukuafu for a roster spot.
Millard posted 538 yards rushing, 677 yards receiving, and 14 total touchdowns in his college career.
