According to Matt Maiocco, the 49ers have signed OL Dillon Day to their 90-man training camp roster.
This move comes shortly after they placed C Weston Richburg on the PUP list, so San Francisco is clearly filling out their roster for camp.
Day, 27, wound up signing on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State back in May of 2015. He was on and off of the team’s practice squad the first two years before being cut as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.
Day was added to their practice squad soon after before he was called up to the active roster.
The Broncos waived him and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Colts. Unfortunately, Indianapolis cut him loose soon after. Denver re-signed him to their practice squad in November of 2017 but was claimed by the Packers’ off Denver’s taxi squad a few months later.
He was among Green Bay’s final roster cuts coming out of the 2018 preseason.
Day has yet to appear in an NFL game.
