Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the 49ers are signing veteran TE Niles Paul to a contract on Friday.
Paul, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2011. He finished a three-year, $6 million contract with the Redskins before agreeing to a two-year, $8.75 million deal with the Jaguars last year.
However, Jacksonville cut Paul loose during the season.
In 2018, Paul appeared in six games for the Jaguars and caught 10 passes for 98 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
